The QP COMPASS Model: Values-Integrated Decisions

Clarify what is actually being decided, technical or adaptive, one-way door or two-way door. Orient to the values at stake and where they pull against each other. Map the impact and center those closest to the consequences. Own the power you bring. Assign the approach and make decision rights explicit. Structure a process that matches the stakes, and when input is invited, say up front how it will be used. Steward the decision through the alignment test and close the loop. Includes tools for recognizing the cognitive biases that distort group judgment. Practiced on a real decision participants bring.
